Terms of Service
Effective date: July 19, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and the developer of AirportScout ("we," "us"). By using the AirportScout app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
What AirportScout is
AirportScout shows estimated airport security wait times, combining reports submitted by travelers with published TSA data. It exists to help you plan — nothing more.
Wait times are estimates, not guarantees. Crowd-sourced reports can be wrong, stale, or missing, and conditions at airports change quickly. Always allow the time your airline and airport recommend for check-in and security. We are not responsible for missed flights, missed connections, or any other consequence of relying on wait-time estimates.
AirportScout is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), any airport, or any airline.
Your account
The app creates an anonymous account for you by default; you may optionally sign in with email, Google, or Apple. You're responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account).
Wait-time reports you submit
- Report honestly. Only submit wait times you actually observed, at the airport, at the time you observed them.
- License. By submitting a report or confirmation, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, use, aggregate, anonymize, and display it as part of the service — for example, in live wait estimates and historical trends shown to other travelers.
- Anonymized retention. If you delete your account, your reports are retained in anonymized form (with your account ID and any free-text removed), as described in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or automated wait-time reports
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or its backend
- Scrape, resell, or redistribute the service's data without permission
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
- Use the app for anything unlawful
The service is provided "as is"
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AirportScout is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including accuracy, reliability, availability, merchantability, and fitness for a particular purpose. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, missed travel, or lost data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed fifty U.S. dollars ($50) or the amount you paid us in the past twelve months, whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain warranty disclaimers or liability limits, so parts of the two sections above may not apply to you.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update the effective date above and, for significant changes, note it in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
